  • Consultation: Your treatment begins with a thorough consultation with one of our skin therapists.

    They will assess your skin type, discuss your concerns and goals, and determine if Picosure is the ideal treatment for you.

    First, your skin will be thoroughly cleansed. A cooling gel will then be applied to the treatment area to enhance comfort and optimise light delivery. You'll also be provided with protective eyewear.

    During the treatment, your practitioner will use a handheld Cynosure Icon applicator to deliver pulses of light to your skin. You'll feel a sensation often described as a mild flick, similar to a rubber band against the skin. Most clients tolerate this sensation well.

    The treatment time varies depending on the size of the area being treated but is typically 15 to 30 minutes for a full face.

    After your treatment your clinician will discuss post-treatment care with you to ensure best results.

  • This will be dependent on each individual’s needs

    You can see some improvement immediately. Only one or two treatments may be needed, depending on the severity of your conditions, although several treatments may be necessary to achieve your best results

    Your suggested treatment program will be discussed as part of your initial consultation.

  • You can typically return to your normal daily activities almost immediately after the session

    Immediately after treatment most people experience a mild, sunburn-like sensation, possibly accompanied by some minor swelling immediately following the treatment. This usually lasts two to 24 hours.

    Your clinician will discuss other possible side effects and the necessary post-treatment care with you.
